Thousands of members of the 57 AFL-CIO labor union affiliates converge on airports across the country to show support for Transportation Security Officers and efforts by the American Federation of Government Employees to gain collective bargaining rights for TSO's.

On July 23 Local 1040 members along with AFGE TSA Local Presidents from across the nation to include; Rhode Island, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Richmond, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Raleigh-Durham, Memphis, Jacksonville, Chicago, Detroit, Oklahoma, Minneapolis, Houston, Albuquerque, New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Seattle, and Puerto Rico, took a solidarity stand in support of collective bargaining rights for DFW International Airport TSO workforce.
